Belzebubs Bulldozer
Man blir omedelbart en smula nervös när man får en flaska i sin hand som paraderar under allitterationen “The belgian Belzebubs brewed & brutally bottled Bulldozer”… Brutally bottled? Jaja. Nervös fast på ett annat sätt blir man när det också står “A beer that moves your mind” och “Made with yeast from the famous Duvel-beer” och “Brewed [...] with water, malted grain, hops, yeast and some nice spices.” Vadå malted grain? Och “some nice spices”? Har ni glömt vilka? Vi ville ju att det här skulle vara en i raden av ljusa, krispigt fräscha och törstsläckande belgare som under sommarens varma dagar kan få den bäste man eller kvinna att, så att säga, cheata på sin IPA. Men så är det inte.
Bulldozer ser harmlös ut. Grumlig och ganska ljus, men ändå mörk för att vara en “icke-mörk” belgare. Doften är håglös. Det går att ana en maltbas med en god portion ljus karamellmalt och inte så mycket annat. Smaken är värre. Det är rejält sött och alldeles för sött för att kunna upplevas som friskt, vilket är viktigt för den här typen av öl. Kroppen är tunn vilket gör att ölen trots sina beskedliga 6,5 procent blir spritig på ett ovälkommet sätt. Den tveksamma inledningen följs upp av en halvsur beska. För den som vill dricka typiskt belgiskt finns förmodligen många bättre alternativ. Den som ändå vill ge den en chans får köpa Systembolagets De Graal Belgobox där 6 flaskor ingår, tillsammans med 3 flaskor Big brown bastard och 6 flaskor Blond bitch beer.
